Top notch facilities make training easy at Talkinghorses
Sudbury Fields has everything you need for training your sporthorse or racehorse.
The series of roundyards with a viewing platform is a great place to start building a relationship with your horse through groundwork. Horses that are being started or re-educated will get their first ride in the large round pen.
The arena is the next venue for training. It is 60 x 30 metres, with a sand and rubber surface, perfect for schooling, jumping and groundwork.
Near the arena lies the 700m racetrack which is used for the first ride out of the arena. It is also ideal for pre-training sport and racehorses as the surface reduces any jarring on their legs and it is a safe environment for the horses.
The beach at the end of the road is another training venue.
Barns, stables, yards
At the top end of the farm are the holding yards, covered yards, stables, tack rooms and working yards. Surrounding all this are 13 paddocks all with post and rail fencing, on gently rolling pasture, which are partially irrigated.
What makes this really special?
The atmosphere at Talkinghorses is hard to find at other yards. Each horse is made to feel special and part of the team. Horses thrive here and that is key to top performance.
