Lulu - SOLD
6 year old Lulu is a stunning dapple grey St James mare.  St James stationbreds are mustered every two years from the Hanmer Springs station near Christchurch where they roam wild.  They are renowned for being tough horses which excell in every field, particularly hunting.  These horses are sold for substantial amounts of money at the muster as they are limited in number and extremely sought after.  Lulu was bought from the 2004 muster.

Lulu is an eyecatching mare with a great attitude.  She is willing to please and is quiet enough to be ridden by beginners.  She has three good paces and an expressive trot.  She has been lightly schooled and jumped, hacked out and is ready to take on.

Lulu has also done extensive groundwork and has been handled and broken-in by Andrew Froggatt.  She would make a great park hack and competitive mount.
Lulu loves hacking out and is good on the roads and on the beach.  She even enjoys paddling in the sea!

Lulu is a pleasure to be with, fun to school, jump and hack out.  A great all-round mount.

The 2004 St James sale where unbroken untouched horses were selling for up to $3500 + gst.
Horses have to be tough to survive the extreme conditions of St James station making them sought after throughout New Zealand.  They are notoriously tough to break-in (unless you are Andrew!)
